We’ve covered cobalt blue jeans, bold red jeans, and it’s now time to talk about pretty pink jeans, pink pants, pink mini shorts, and pink skirts. You may call it the pink explosion.
Pink is an ultra feminine and extra sexy color. There’s nothing childish about it. You can pull off quite the “neck-twisting” look with the right accessories and the right wardrobe pieces. What look’s best with soft or bright pink legwear? Of course, whites. Prints go great with baby pink denim. Wear a black blazer or blouse for that updated femme fatale look.
Thanks to Isabel Marant, Jason Wu, JBrand and Current/Elliot Spring/Summer 2011 collections, we have plenty of yummy styles to demonstrate your craving for that bubble gum effect.
1. Whites. Pair up the pink jeans with soft white t-shirt, black flats, delicate jewelry and a playful print scarf.
2. Prints. Choose light prints, on the softer side. You can go wild in terms of patterns. Select solid color platform heels or wedges for the Spring/Summer look. Wear hair messy and down or sleek, shiny and pulled back.
3. Black. Black sharp blazer, funky vest or a long oversized black lace shirt is all you need to throw over the pink jeans. Black pumps with a patented finish would look smart and chic. Accessories can be silver in either bold shapes or minimalistic designs.
4. Zebra. This is for the wild ones. Black and white zebra pattern stripes would be hot for a sexy night out.
Accessorize all of these outfits with your favorite jewelry. Gold watches, thin long necklaces or big silver bangles. Stop by your local nail salon and get the “pretty in pink” nail polish to finish the look. Remember, the right pair of shoes can make any look feel as if it’s straight off the runway.

When the two met in Southern California in 2001, Lena and Anastassia instantly hit it off and began to share their experiences and visions. Together, they were actively involved in the fashion and art scenes while building strong relationships of stylists, designers, artists and editors across Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.
Professionally, the two have combined experience in public relations for luxury jewelry line, music and entertainment management, production of fashion shows and national advertising commercials. They have collaborated on projects as stylists, buyers and editors.
They also shared the love of shopping. Frustrated with sample sale experience of cold warehouses, random selection of merchandise, and uninviting environment, Lena and Anastassia set out to develop a project that provides high-end boutique experience at sample sale events.
Duo’s involvement with the art world led to engage emerging local artists. As strong believers in giving back, the team decided to involve charitable organizations, and create their events as series of charitable fashion shopping and art social events. In the summer of 2010 stars aligned and Project Lena was born.
With the launch of PROJECT LENA, sample sales are now thought of as luxurious boutique events with elements of art and giving back.
The birth of the PROJECT LENA Blog was the inevitable next step. Both Lena and Anastassia have so much to share about the world of art, expression, fashion, beauty. They blog about what is current, what is new, what is here to stay, they spot trends ahead of their time. They share interviews of their exciting network of industry insiders, museum curators, designers and stylists.
