Lana Del Rey - Ride

Lana Del Ray has proven to us that she truly does not give one single f…ck and I can relate to that. The cool of James Dean in a girl is a rare gem. Society is submissive to those who seek, yet she finds solace in freedom. The man still holds the power no matter what the feminism has brought on and swinging with the wind while embracing her sexuality is freedom. She does what courtesans of the last centuries did. Elegance, grace and candyfloss softness is replaced with bikers, shorts and edginess. It is brilliant as it obscure.  She is making it on her own terms. Not without beauty, ideas and raw freshness yet she manages to stay afloat and play the game. I guess she’s going to make a career of being that girl that other girls just can’t stand.

“I was in the winter of my life and the men I met along the road were my only summer.” Mark Foo used to say that to experience the ultimate thrill you must be prepared to pay the ultimate price. If you want to create yourself, you have to let go of everything else you knew and start from scratch. There comes a winter…and no home. ”There’s no reason talking to people who have a home.” Anything but suburbia.

”It takes everything you ever wanted and losing it, to know what true freedom is.” No comment.

”I was going to be the other woman.” Wouldn’t you want to be free from expectations, anniversaries, weddings, birthdays and traditions?

”It was a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn’t even talk about it.” The ultimate thrill and height of emotions is reached when you life becomes a masterpiece. Psychologists have determined that a human being can only function 150 relationships at a time.

”I am fucking crazy.”  One begins to think this when everybody else is living their life half asleep.

Watch it. Remember it. Live it like own it.
