Jayce Wong Presenting Her Gatsby Collection in London
by Christine Barnett. London, UK
Jayce Wong, one of the finalists in the New Designer of the Year competition, at the Jewellery Awards 2012 has presented her latest collection, Gatsby. The Gatsby collection features an in-trend colour-block look, presented in a palette of gold, black and white; with pops of green in perfect symmetry, featuring emeralds and black and white diamonds, all set in 18 karat white and yellow gold. The look is sexy, bold and contemporary. It pays homage to the era of luxury, excess and abundance where the champagne overflowed and caviar was always served. Therefore, it was no surprise that the Salt & Chocolate nail bar concept, paid tribute to the 1920′s in modern day Walton St, London. The presentation was held at Salt & Chocolate, which is a concept Nail Bar and Showroom, founded by fashion journalist, DJ and writer Yana Uralskaya. It’s located in the heart of the fashion and luxury district in London, South Kensington. It’s the only nail bar in London where you can get great nails and buy an original photograph by Terry O’Neill. Might seem excessive to some, but a necessity for those who are passionate about art. The guests enjoyed countless flutes of champagne and chocolate nibbles, while celebrating the collection at the vernissage. At the expense of personifying each object d’art of the collection, it must be said that each piece in their own right, like a debutante at her gala, thrilled and generated affection, attention and competitiveness. It’s impossible to choose between pearls and sapphires, diamonds and emeralds. All are elegant on their own and in combination. Jayce possesses natural charm and instilled devotion to style. The new collection will be crafted in small quantities, enabling Jayce to retain the best quality and attention to detail. One-off bespoke pieces are also available in different gemstones. Since launching her first collection in 2009, Jayce Wong has received international praise for her collections, which are now stocked worldwide. Jayce Wong was chosen for the Professional Jeweller HOT 100 ‘Nexgems’ category in 2011, she is also shortlisted as one of the finalists of the New Designer of the Year at the Jewellery Awards 2012 . “A passion for gemstones, attention to design detail; the craftsmanship and a sense of personality are perhaps what makes our brand stand out from others.” -Jayce Wong. In addition to these exciting brand developments, the designer is also delighted to announce that she has recently moved her office to Somerset House, the new location for Treasure this year and where London Fashion Week takes place every season. Meetings are by appointment only. If you would like more information, or to schedule an interview, please email Jayce at info@jaycewong.com
