Cicchetti’s

by Christine Barnett from London, United Kingdom
I spend my time living between two cities and have acquired favourite treasures in both. Here in Manchester, Cicchetti’s is my link back to London. Cicchetti’s is a modern bistro with lots of class that pays homage to Italy. Although its roots are Neapolitan, it pays tribute to all regions of Italy. You’ll find everything from pizza to chicken liver and chestnut crostini. I love it because with smaller dishes you can eat as little or as much as you like. I always order carpaccio, and was pleased to find small tapas style portions of it on offer. Cicchetti’s is situated inside Manchester’s House of Fraser. Just across the road is their grown up restaurant San Carlo, which offers more formal meals. Everybody from Ronaldo (in his old days with Manchester United), to Rhirhi when giving a concert in town, has dined there. My choice of Carpaccio is almost always followed with an order of tuna tartar. I loved having it prepared in front of my eyes, as they do; it will absolutely arouse your appetite! Cicchetti’s has always kept up with international standards and continues to surprise with their skillfully prepared dishes.
